The international Red Cross has denied information about the presence of cargo on the Ukrainian plane that was damaged in the attack in Libya.
This was told UKRINFORM specialist media relations of the International red cross Alexander Vlasenko.
“I can only say one thing: the information that this plane was carrying our cargo is not truthful. On Board the aircraft was not our burden, that is not true,” he said.
According to the version, officially published by the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Board carried out flight to transport humanitarian cargo for the needs of the red Crescent Society of Libya. All permissions are in stock, assured the Minister.
“The attack was destroyed by the tail of the plane, slightly injured the operator of the ship’s crew and destroyed passport documents Navigator. The crew in full composition was evacuated to a safe place,” – said the Minister.
In the night of 5 to 6 August in a rocket attack on the airport in Misrata (Libya) with BLAH during unloading of the cargo was damaged the aircraft Il-76TD (registration UR-COZ, the operator is a Ukrainian airline – LLC “Sievietes”).
The aircraft carried out flight KTR7721 on the route Ankara (Turkey) – Misurata (Libya) for the purpose of transportation of humanitarian cargo through the International red cross and if you have the appropriate permissions.
The attack was destroyed by the tail of the plane, slightly injured the operator of the ship’s crew and destroyed passport documents Navigator. The ship’s crew in full force (8 people, all are citizens of Ukraine) was evacuated to a bomb shelter.
According to preliminary estimates, the impact caused by the forces of the group of General Haftarot, is in opposition to the recognised government of Libya.
